1. Cultivation Goals

The major is dedicated to cultivating senior compound talents with high comprehensive quality, reasonable knowledge structure, solid foundation, strong adaptability, innovative spirit and entrepreneurial ability. The students should be able to engage in international Chinese education, foreign economic and cultural exchanges. Furthermore, we focus on cultivating students' abilities not only in Chinese and English but also in small languages, so the students have a solid foundation in Chinese and English and have a good knowledge of Chinese language and literature, Chinese culture, and cultural exchange between China and foreign countries comprehensively. It also makes them be able to engage in foreign related work, including teaching Chinese as a foreign language, at all levels and in all kinds of schools at home and abroad engaged in language teaching and foreign exchange in party and government organs, enterprises and institutions, with further training potential to enter the postgraduate stage of learning.
