Zhao Xifang

Zhao Xifang, male, Han ethnicity, from Wuhu, Anhui Province, joined Nanchang University in September 2024. He is a Distinguished Professor at the School of Humanities, Nanchang University. Previously, he was a Level-II Researcher at the Institute of Literature, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS).He is a subject reviewer for the National Social Science Fund of China, appointed by the National Philosophy and Social Sciences Planning Leading Group, and serves on both the disciplinary review group and the major project evaluation group. He is also the Chief Expert of a Major National Social Science Fund Project and Executive Editor-in-Chief of the Literature Volume of the Hong Kong Local Gazette (a major commissioned work funded by the Hong Kong government). Additionally, he is Vice President of the China World Chinese Literature Association, Vice President of the China Comparative Literature and Translation Studies Association, a member of the editorial board of Literary Review (《文学评论》), and Executive Editor-in-Chief of the Renmin University Copying Center’s Digest of Literary Studies (《人大复印资料·文学研究文摘》).

    3.2013: Postcolonial Theory won First Prize for Outstanding Achievement, CASS Institute of Literature.

    4.2017: “Why Do We Commemorate Chen Yingzhen Today?” awarded the 2017 Annual Outstanding Paper Award by Modern Chinese Literature Studies.

    5.2018: French translation of Translation and Modern China (Traduction et Chine moderne) awarded First Prize for Outstanding Achievement, CASS Institute of Literature.
