Zhou Mingjuan, female, Han ethnicity, from Shaoyang, Hunan Province, joined Nanchang University in September 2019. She holds a Ph.D. from Nanjing University and currently serves as a professor in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at the School of Humanities, Nanchang University.

Major Academic Achievements and Awards:

Professor Zhou has produced a number of significant scholarly contributions, including:

Independently published two papers in the premier journal Literary Review (《文学评论》)

Successfully led and completed one National Social Science Fund project

Sole author of five independently written academic monographs

Published multiple additional papers and completed several national and provincial/ministerial research projects


Selected Achievements:

Monographic essay “On Shen Congwen’s Nostalgic Writing” (author) published in Literary Review, no. 6, 2008. Awarded the Jiangxi Provincial Outstanding Social Science Paper Award.


Monographic essay “Modern Urbanist Literature and Traditional Culture” (author) published in Literary Review, no. 2, 2003. Awarded the Nanjing University Outstanding Thesis Award.


Monograph Bing Xin and Reading (sole author), published by Tomorrow Publishing House, 1999, as part of the series Cultural Celebrities of the 20th Century and Their Reading. The book was awarded the 12th China Book Award.
