Chen Jinchun

Chen Jinchun, male, Han ethnicity, native of Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province. He joined the university in August 2020. He holds a Ph.D. in Literature and is a Lecturer in the Department of Chinese, School of Humanities, Nanchang University. He received his Ph.D. from Shandong University. He serves as a Council Member of the Chinese  Book of Songs Society, and is a member of the Chinese Historical Research Society and the Chinese Exegetical Studies Society.

Main Research Areas and Interests:

His work primarily focuses on the research and teaching of Chinese Classical Philology and Ancient Chinese Literature. Key directions include: Pre-Qin and Han Dynasty Literature and Documents,  Shijing Studies (Book of Songs), Chinese Classical Studies, Bibliography, Textual Criticism, and Chinese Poetics Documents.


Courses Taught:

Undergraduate: Introduction to Literature from Pre-Qin to the Northern and Southern Dynasties; Introduction to Chinese Classical Philology; Introduction to Chinese Culture; Study and Reading of the  Book of Songs ; Guided Reading of  The History of Classical Studies ; Guided Reading of Song Dynasty  Shihua (Poetry Talks), etc.

Graduate: Introduction to Bibliography; Chinese Philology; Research on Local Documents, etc.

(III) Personal Awards:

    1.September 2014: Received the Second Prize of the first "Dong Zhi'an Award for Pre-Qin and Han Literature and Document Research" from Shandong University.


    2.December 2020: The publication  Compilation and Supplement of Yiwenzhi and Jingjizhi from the Twenty-Five Histories (in which he participated) received the Second Prize for Outstanding Achievements in Humanities and Social Sciences by Higher Education Institutions, awarded by the Ministry of Education.


    3.December 2023: The teaching achievement  "Exploration and Practice of a 'College Chinese' Teaching Mode Integrating Language and Literature, Tiered Advancement, and Jiangxi Elements" received the Second Prize of the Jiangxi Provincial Teaching Achievement Award awarded by the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government.
