She has long been engaged in teaching and research in Chinese language and philology at the university level. She is a researcher at the Center for Hakka-Gan Dialects and Language Application Studies at Nanchang University, and a member of both the National Society of Chinese Dialectology and the Jiangxi Linguistic Society. Her main research focuses on Chinese dialectology, covering Gan, Hakka, Xiang, and Mandarin dialects within Jiangxi Province, as well as language communities and social dialects.
