Huang Hongchun, female, Han ethnicity, from Shi Cheng, Jiangxi Province, began working at the university in July 1996. She is a professor and holds a Ph.D. in Literature from Jiangxi Normal University.

I. Academic Achievements

Monograph:

1.Classical and Romantic: A Study of the Literary Ideas of the Crescent Moon Society. Jiangxi People's Publishing House, 2015.


2.Published 30 academic papers in journals including Contemporary Literary Forum, Social Sciences, Fiction Review, Jiangxi Social Sciences, Journal of Nanchang University, Journal of Jiangxi Normal University, and Forum for World Chinese Literature. Notably, her paper “Transformation and Persistence: A Dialectical Study of He Qifang’s Poetic Theory” was reprinted in the Renmin University of China’s Information Center for Liberal Arts – Chinese Modern and Contemporary Literature Research.

    1.Monograph Classical and Romantic: A Study of the Literary Ideas of the Crescent Moon Society won Third Prize at the 17th Jiangxi Provincial Social Science Outstanding Achievement Awards.


    2.Co-authored Biographies of World-Famous Chinese Women Writers awarded First Prize for Outstanding Books in East China, 13th edition, 2000.


    3.Co-authored History of Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature awarded Second Prize in Jiangxi Provincial Teaching Achievements, 2010.


    4.Paper “On Lu Xun’s Thoughts on Children’s Education and Their Contemporary Significance” won First Prize at the 2006 Annual Conference of the Jiangxi Modern Literature Society.


    5.First Prize, Sixth Nanchang University Teaching Competition, 2019.


    6.“Teaching Pioneer” Award, Second Mobile Teaching Contest for Colleges and Universities in Jiangxi Province, 2019.


    7.“Excellent Teaching Quality Award” for Fall Semester 2015–2016; “Nomination for Excellent Teaching Quality Award” for Fall Semester 2016–2017, Nanchang University.


    8.Excellence Award, Nanchang University Young Teachers’ Open Teaching Competition, 2005.


    9.Served as class advisor for the classes of 1996, 2004, and 172; repeatedly awarded titles such as “Outstanding Class Advisor” and “Outstanding Undergraduate Class Advisor” by Nanchang University.


    10.Supervised 2009 graduate Rao Hong, whose thesis won the 2013 Jiangxi Provincial Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award.


    11.Supervised 2014 graduate Wang Ying, whose thesis won the 2018 Jiangxi Provincial Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award.


    12.Second Prize in the “Praise for the Motherland” Calligraphy and Painting Competition celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China, Nanchang University, 2019 (brush calligraphy category).
