Li Jinggeng, male, Han ethnicity, native of Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. He began working at the university in August 1993. He holds a Ph.D. in Ancient Chinese Literature from Shanghai Normal University and is currently a Professor in the School of Humanities, Nanchang University.

Main Research Areas and Interests:

Ancient Chinese Literature: Tang & Song Dynasty Literature, Ming & Qing Dynasty Literature.

Chinese Classical Philology: Regional Literary Documents and Local Culture.

    1.First Prize in the "Ecological Jiangxi, Green Rise—Poyang Lake Ecological Civilization Education" Essay Competition by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education, 2011. Ranked first.

    2.The graduate course  Chinese Culture and Literature , for which he was responsible, passed acceptance review in 2019 and was approved as a Jiangxi Provincial Graduate High-Quality Course. Ranked first.

    3.Received the title of Excellent Postgraduate Supervisor of Nanchang University in 2007.



Appendix: Research Projects as Principal Investigator:

    1.Participated in the National Social Science Fund Major Project  Biographical Records of Ming Dynasty Writers by Province (Approval No.: 13&ZD116), successively led by Professors Li Shiren and Yu Gang of Shanghai Normal University. Solely responsible for writing the  Jiangxi Volume of Biographical Records of Ming Dynasty Writers by Province . Project initiated in 2013, completed in 2022.


    2.Collection, Collation, and Research of Ancient Chinese Tea Poetry. Jiangxi Provincial Social Science Planning Project (General Category). Initiated 2020, in progress.


    3.Document Compilation and Research on Jiangxi Tea Culture in Tang and Song Poetry. Jiangxi Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Key Research Base Planning Key Project. Initiated 2015, completed 2019.


    4.Research on the Ming Dynasty Jiangxi Zhuangyuan (Top Imperial Examinee) Writer Group. Jiangxi Provincial Social Science Planning Project (General Category). Initiated 2011, completed 2016.
