Cao Xinhua, male, Han ethnicity, native of Zhengzhou, Henan Province. He commenced work at the university in June 2023 and is currently a Distinguished Research Fellow at Nanchang University. He holds the rank of Second-Level Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, and Postdoctoral Co-Supervisor. He serves as the Dean of the Institute of Chinese Poetry Education and Communication and the Dean of the Institute of Modern and Contemporary Classical-Style Literature at Nanchang University. His concurrent appointments include Vice President of the Chinese Poetry Society, Director of the Modern and Contemporary Poetry Research Committee, Vice President and Secretary-General of the Chinese Prose Society, Executive Council Member of the Chinese Rhymed Literature Society, Executive Council Member of the Chinese Ci Poetry Research Society, Council Member of the Modern Chinese Literature Society, and Council Member of the Song Dynasty Literature Research Society.

(I) Landmark Achievements

National Social Sciences Achievement Library:  Examination and Discussion on the History of Ci Poetry in the Republican Era (People's Publishing House, 2017; selected for the National Philosophy and Social Sciences Library in 2016, certificate dated May 2017). Only 48 projects nationwide were selected that year.




Chief Expert of a Major Project of the National Social Science Fund of China (NSSFC): Successfully led and completed the major project "Chronicled Annotations and Abstracts of Ci Poetry Collections from the Republican Era" (2013-2022), which received an "Excellent" final evaluation. The project also received an "Excellent" mid-term assessment in 2015, leading to a rolling grant of 800,000 RMB.
