Fu Xinqing, female, Han nationality, native of Lichuan, Jiangxi Province. She joined the university in July 2000 and currently serves as a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor in the Department of Chinese Language and Literature, Nanchang University. She is a National Putonghua Proficiency Tester and Vice President of the Jiangxi Provincial Linguistics Society. As one of the main lecturers for the National Excellent Video Course Modern Chinese , she now holds the positions of Deputy Director of the National Language and Character Promotion Base of Nanchang University and Director of the Business Office of the Putonghua Proficiency Training and Testing Station of Nanchang University.

She is mainly engaged in the research of Chinese dialects and the national standard spoken and written Chinese language.

She has published monographs including A Comparative Study of Reduplication Patterns in Chinese Dialects and A Study of Fuzhou Dialect , and served as the associate editor of Jiangxi Provincial Dialect Records . Besides, she has published many academic papers in authoritative professional journals such as Studies of the Chinese Language , Dialect and Journal of Chinese Linguistics .
