Long Ye

Long Ye, male, Han ethnicity, native of Ningyuan, Hunan Province. He joined the university in July 2015 and holds a Ph.D. in Literature from Fudan University. He is currently an Associate Professor and Master's Supervisor in the School of Humanities at Nanchang University. He is a member of the Chinese Ancient Literary Theory Society, the Chinese Rhymed Literature Society, and the Chinese Ancient Prose Society.

Main Research Areas and Interests:

His work primarily involves the teaching and research of Ancient Chinese Literature, History of Chinese Literary Criticism, and Classical Philology. His research focuses on Ming, Qing, and modern literature and literary criticism, with a core emphasis on poetry, prose, and Ci poetry studies, while also extending to Wei, Jin, Northern and Southern Dynasties literature, epigraphy, and related fields.


Courses Taught:

Undergraduate:

(1) Required:  Introduction to Literature from Pre-Qin to the Northern and Southern Dynasties ;  Introduction to Tang and Song Literature ;  Intensive Reading of Ancient Chinese Literary Classics .

(2) Elective:  Guided Reading of Renowned Ci Writers of the Qing Dynasty ;  History of Chinese Literary Criticism ;  Guided Reading of Famous Works in Ancient Chinese Literary Theory and Criticism .

Graduate:

Monographic Studies on Ming-Qing Poetics ;  History of Chinese Classical Philology .


Major Academic Research Achievements and Awards:

(I) Projects as Principal Investigator:

    National Social Science Fund of China General Project: "Research on the Jiangyou Literati Groups in the Late Ming and Early Qing Periods" (2022), in progress.

    Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education Humanities and Social Sciences Planning Project: "Research on the Inter-influence between Classical Prose and Contemporary Prose (时文) in the Ming and Qing Dynasties" (2022), in progress.

    Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education Humanities and Social Sciences Planning Project: "Collation and Research on Materials of Jiangxi Contemporary Prose (时文) Theory in the Ming and Qing Dynasties", completed with a passing grade.

    Jiangxi Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Planning Project Youth Doctor Fund: "Research on Wang Chang and the Literary Evolution during the Qianlong-Jiaqing Reigns", completed with an excellent grade.

    Additionally, he has participated in the completion of 2 National Social Science Fund Major Projects, 1 Ministry of Education Major Project, 1 National Social Science Fund Key Project, and several other national and provincial/ministerial level projects.
