  Li Min, male, Han ethnicity, native of Jiujiang, Jiangxi. He joined the university as a faculty member in January 2019 and currently holds the position of Associate Professor. He earned his Ph.D. in History from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where he studied under the renowned historian David Faure. He is now a university-appointed Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor in the Department of History at Nanchang University. Beyond his academic and research activities, he actively engages in social welfare services between Jiangxi and Hong Kong, guides the development of cultural venues in multiple regions, and has authored political essays published in internal publications of the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the National Ethnic Affairs Commission.

  Primary Research Fields and Interests:

   His research focuses on the history of the Ming and Qing dynasties and regional social history. He advocates for the use of historical anthropology methodologies, emphasizing not only the utilization of official historical records but also the practice of fieldwork. By integrating genealogies, inscriptions, contracts, and folk ritual activities, he conducts historical anthropology studies of Chinese society.

  Major Academic Achievements and Awards:

  Over the past five years, he has led 3 national and provincial-level research projects and 2 horizontal projects. As the first author, he has published 4 academic works and several journal articles. Representative research projects and achievements include:

  1.National Social Science Fund Youth Project: A Social History of Water-Dwelling Communities (14th–20th Centuries).

  2."Fishermen’s Beliefs and Community Integration: A Study of the Yu Clan’s Worship of 'Three Mountain Lords' in Duchang, Jiangxi," published in Journal of History and Anthropology, Vol. 22, No. 2, 2024.
