Ma Zihao, male, Han ethnicity, native of Zhoushan, Zhejiang. He joined the university in June 2021 and currently holds the position of Lecturer. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in History from Zhejiang University, a Master’s degree in International Studies from the University of Tsukuba, Japan, and a Ph.D. in International Japanese Studies from the same university. He is now a Lecturer in the Department of History, School of Humanities, Nanchang University.

  Primary Research Fields and Interests:

  Ancient Japanese history (particularly the Ritsuryō period), the ancient Japanese imperial system, and comparative studies of ancient East Asian kingship.

  Courses Taught:

  Special Topics in Japanese History, Introduction to Korean History, History of International Relations, Special Topics in Asian History, Overview of Korean History and Culture.

  Major Academic Achievements and Awards:

  Currently leading one National Social Science Foundation Youth Project and one Nanchang University Philosophy and Social Sciences Youth Talent Cultivation and Innovation Fund Project. He has also participated in multiple provincial and ministerial-level projects, including the Jiangxi Provincial University Humanities and Social Sciences Research Project. He has published several research papers in academic journals such as International Japanese Studiesand Journal of Sino-Japanese Cultural Studies.
