Guo Yuxin, male, born in 1990, native of Suichuan, Jiangxi. He joined the university in August 2022 and was appointed as Associate Professor in 2024. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from the School of History at Nankai University, and his Master’s and Doctoral degrees from the Institute of Qing History at Renmin University of China. During his doctoral studies, he was sponsored by a Chinese government scholarship for a joint training program at the Center for East Asian Studies, Stanford University, USA.

  Primary Research Fields and Interests:

  Political history and social history of the Qing Dynasty, with a focus on legal-social history and grassroots social governance.

  Major Academic Achievements and Awards:

  He has published multiple papers in core academic journals such as Anhui History, Journal of Jiangxi Normal University, The Qing History Journal, Chinese Frontier History and Geography Studies, and Chinese Social History Review. Several of his papers have been reprinted in full by the Renmin University Copying Materials. He has contributed to publications such as The Atlas of Chinese Civilizationand Legal History of Henan. Additionally, he has translated academic articles, including "Officials and Justice in Imperial China: Public and Private Offenses in Qing Law." He has also published academic essays and book reviews in media outlets such as The Paper’s "Private History" column and Shanghai Book Review. He has led one National Social Science Fund Youth Project and two Key Projects of the Jiangxi Provincial Social Science Fund.
