  Luo Guilin, male, Han ethnicity, native of Yong'an, Fujian. He joined the university as a faculty member in July 2006. He holds a Bachelor's degree in History, a Master's degree in Ancient Chinese History, and a Ph.D. in Modern and Contemporary Chinese History, all from Xiamen University. He currently serves as a Professor and Master’s Supervisor in the Department of History at Nanchang University, and is a member of the Chinese Society for Social History.

  Primary Research Fields and Interests:

Mainly focuses on the socio-economic history of the Ming and Qing dynasties, modern urban history, and the history of Taiwan.


  Courses Taught:

For Undergraduates: Introduction to Chinese Urban History, Modern Chinese History
For Postgraduates: Research and Reading of Socio-Cultural Historical Sources, History of Chinese Culture


  Major Academic Achievements and Awards:

He has led one National Social Science Fund Special Project on "Esoteric and Endangered Disciplines" and Country-Specific History Research, one National Social Science Fund General Project, and over 10 provincial-level projects, including Jiangxi Provincial Social Science Planning and Special Fund Projects, Jiangxi Provincial Education Reform Research Projects, and Key Humanities and Social Science Research Projects in Jiangxi Universities. He has authored one academic monograph, co-authored two, and published more than 10 papers in journals such as Historical Review, The Qing History Journal, and Journal of Chinese Historical Geography. His research achievements have been awarded the Third Prize of the Jiangxi Provincial Outstanding Achievement Award in Social Sciences.
