Li Jun, male, Han ethnicity, native of Longhui, Hunan. He joined the university in July 2006 and currently holds the position of Second-level Professor. He holds a Ph.D. from Nanjing University and serves as the Director of the Jiangxi Provincial Key Research Base for Humanities and Social Sciences—the “Hakka and Gan Dialects and Language Application Research Center,” as well as a Doctoral Supervisor. He is a Distinguished “Ganjiang Scholar” Professor at Nanchang University and was a visiting scholar at Yale University, USA. Concurrently, he serves as a Council Member of the National Dialect Society.

  Chinese historical phonology, dialectal historical documents and historical dialects, and the history of Chinese phonetics.

  Major Academic Achievements and Awards:

  He has led one National Social Science Foundation Major Project, which also received follow-up funding. He has completed three National Social Science Foundation projects (one of which was rated “excellent” upon conclusion), two sub-projects of National Social Science Foundation Major Projects, one Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences Foundation project, and two specialized projects under the National Language Commission’s “Language Resource Protection Project.” He has published two academic monographs with Zhonghua Book Company and The Commercial Press, one of which was selected as one of the “Top Ten Outstanding Academic Monographs of Zhonghua Book Company” in 2015. He has published over 30 academic papers in core linguistics journals, including Studies of the Chinese Language, Dialect, Essays on Linguistics, Research in Ancient Chinese Language, Linguistic Sciences, and Studies in Language and Linguistics. He has received the Third Prize of the Jiangxi Provincial Outstanding Achievement Award in Social Sciences twice and the Second Prize of the Jiangxi Provincial University Humanities and Social Sciences Outstanding Achievement Award twice.
