  Liao Yanbin, male, Han ethnicity, native of Xingan, Jiangxi. He joined the university as a faculty member in September 2008. He holds a Ph.D. in History and currently serves as a Professor and Master’s Supervisor. Concurrently, he holds the positions of Deputy Director of the Institute of Cultural Resources and Industry at Nanchang University, Council Member of the Jiangxi Provincial History Society, and Executive Council Member of the Jiangxi Provincial Modern China Studies Society.

  Primary Research Fields and Interests:

  Mainly focuses on the social and cultural history of Jiangxi, water conservancy history during the Ming and Qing dynasties, and the study of folk documents.


  Courses Taught:

  For Undergraduates: History of Chinese Historiography, Special Studies in Ancient Chinese Socioeconomic History, History of Foreign Archival Work

  For Postgraduates: Special Topics in Jiangxi Socioeconomic History, Comparative Study of Chinese and Foreign Archives


  Major Academic Achievements and Awards:

  He has led 2 National Social Science Fund projects, 1 Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences Youth Fund project, and 7 provincial-level projects, including the Jiangxi Provincial Social Science Planning Fund and the Arts and Science Planning Fund. He has authored 4 academic monographs, edited 1 textbook, and published over 30 papers in professional academic journals. His research achievements have been recognized with the Third Prize of the Jiangxi Provincial Outstanding Achievement Award in Social Sciences three times. Additionally, he has contributed to teaching research projects that have received the First Prize of the Jiangxi Provincial Teaching Achievement Award twice.
