Tang Shuiping, male, Han ethnicity, born in March 1966. He holds a Ph.D. in History and holds the title of Research Fellow. He is currently a Distinguished Professor and Master’s Supervisor at Nanchang University. Concurrently, he serves as a Council Member of the China Society for Modern and Contemporary Historical Materials, Vice President of the Jiangxi Provincial History Society, Executive Council Member of the Jiangxi Provincial Chinese Communist Party History Society, Editorial Board Member of Contemporary Jiangxi Historical Studies, and a member of the Expert Advisory Committee for the Second National Survey of Geographical Names in Jiangxi Province. He currently holds the positions of Party Leadership Group Member and Vice Chairman of the Jiangxi Provincial Federation of Social Sciences.

Modern and contemporary Chinese history, history of the Chinese Communist Party, and the process of China’s modernization.

To date, he has published 9 academic works (including co-authored books) and over 50 academic papers in journals such as Historical Research. He has led or completed multiple National Social Science Fund Key Projects and provincial/ministerial-level social science fund projects. He has received 5 Jiangxi Provincial Outstanding Achievement Awards in Social Sciences.
