  Liu Jie, male, Han ethnicity, native of Jingmen, Hubei. He joined the university as a faculty member in July 2015 and currently holds the position of Professor. He is now a Professor (exceptionally promoted) and Master's Supervisor (in Modern Economic History and the Economic History track of Theoretical Economics) at Nanchang University. He also serves as a Part-time Researcher at the Collaborative Innovation Research Center for Chinese Chambers of Commerce at Central China Normal University. He holds a Ph.D. in Economic History from Central China Normal University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Theoretical Economics at Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. With an interdisciplinary academic background in both theoretical economics and history, he concurrently holds appointments as a Distinguished Researcher at the Republican-era Research Institute of Huzhou, Zhejiang, a Council Member of the Chinese Society of Business History, a Council Member of the Chinese Society of Financial History, and a member of both the Chinese Society of Economic History and the Chinese Society of History of Economic Thought.

  Primary Research Fields and Interests:

Primarily engaged in specialized research on the history of modern and contemporary Chinese public finance and banking, modern commercial market history, and fiscal transformation and governance in the People's Republic of China.

For Postgraduates: Chinese Economic History, Selected Readings in Chinese Economic History Source Materials


  Major Academic Achievements and Awards:

He has published over 30 academic papers, including more than 20 indexed in CSSCI. His research articles have appeared in core journals such as Modern Chinese History Studies, Researches in Chinese Economic History, Studies of International Finance, Statistical Research, and The Journal of Chinese Social and Economic History, with two papers fully reprinted by the Renmin University Copying Materials. He has completed one National Social Science Fund project and is currently leading another; has led one Special Grant and one General Grant from the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation; served as a sub-project leader for one Major Bidding Project of the National Social Science Fund; and has completed eight provincial/ministerial-level projects while participating in three national-level projects. His research achievements have been recognized with awards including one First Prize and two Second Prizes of the Jiangxi Provincial Outstanding Achievement Award in Social Sciences.
