  Wang Ding, male, born in 1986, native of Pingdingshan, Henan. He holds a Ph.D. in History from Nankai University and a Ph.D. in Chinese Studies from Aichi University, Japan. He currently serves as an Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor at the Institute of Chinese Classics, Nanchang University.

  Primary Research Fields and Interests:

  History of the Pre-Qin and Qin-Han periods, Chinese intellectual history, and modern academic history.


  Courses Taught:

  For Undergraduates: Records of the Grand Historian, Book of Han, General History of China, History of Chinese Political Institutions

  For Postgraduates: Theories and Methods of History


  Major Academic Achievements and Awards:

   I. Research Projects

  Has led and completed two provincial-level projects, one of which received an "excellent" rating upon conclusion. Currently leading one National Social Science Foundation Later-stage Funding Project and three provincial-level projects, while participating in one National Social Science Foundation Major Project.

  II. Publications

  Published the academic monograph A Study of Pre-Qin Confucian Historical Views from the Perspective of Intellectual Historywith China Social Sciences Press. Co-authored the textbook Introduction to Chinese Classics. Has published over ten papers in journals such as Historiography Quarterly, Confucius Studies, Journal of Zhuzi Studies, Aichi Journal(Japan), and Southern Cultural Relics, with one paper fully reprinted by Renmin University Copying Materials.

  III. Awards

  1.Third Prize, 20th Jiangxi Provincial Outstanding Achievement Award in Social Sciences.

  2.Three-time recipient of the Nanchang University Excellence in Teaching Award and Nomination Award.
