Yan Rui, female, Han ethnicity, native of Shihezi, Xinjiang. She joined the university as a faculty member in July 2020 and currently holds the position of Lecturer. From 2006 to 2010, she studied in the Department of History, School of Humanities, Xiamen University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in History. From 2010 to 2020, she studied at the School of History and Culture, Northeast Normal University, where she earned a Master's degree and a Ph.D. in History.

Historical documents of the Ming and Qing dynasties, and political culture of the Ming and Qing periods.

She has published multiple papers in core academic journals such as The Journal of Ancient Civilizations, Journal of Southwest University, Trends in Recent Research on Chinese History, and Chinese Classics & Culture. She has led one National Social Science Fund project, two Jiangxi Provincial Social Science Fund projects, and one Jiangxi Provincial University Humanities Project.
