Zhang Fanglin, female, Han ethnicity, native of Fengcheng, Jiangxi. She joined the university as a faculty member in July 1986 and is a member of the Chinese Communist Party. She holds a Ph.D. in History and holds the rank of Second-level Professor and Doctoral Supervisor. She has served as Deputy Dean of the School of Humanities and Head of the Department of History. She is recognized as a Jiangxi Provincial Gold Medal Graduate Supervisor, a member of the Teaching Guidance Committee for Archival Science under the Ministry of Education, the Director of a Jiangxi Provincial Key Research Base for Philosophy and Social Sciences, and the Lead Expert of a Major National Social Science Fund Project. She conducted a one-year academic visit at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Concurrently, she serves as Deputy Director of the Jiangxi Provincial History Discipline Education Guidance Committee, Vice President of the Jiangxi Provincial Modern China Studies Society, and Vice President of the Chinese Society for Modern Social History.

  Primary Research Fields and Interests:

  Primarily engaged in research on modern and contemporary Chinese history, historical heritage management, fundamental issues in modern and contemporary China, and historical archival documents.

  Major Academic Achievements and Awards:

  She is currently leading one ongoing Major Bidding Project of the National Social Science Fund and has previously led and completed one National Social Science Fund General Project, one Ministry of Education Social Science Fund Project, and one project commissioned by the China Association for Science and Technology. She has also led and completed over 10 provincial-level projects, including key bidding projects and general planning projects in Jiangxi. She has published over 40 academic papers, several of which have been reproduced in Xinhua Digestand Renmin University Copying Materials. She has authored 2 sole-authored academic monographs, co-authored 3, and edited 6 books. Her research achievements have been awarded one First Prize, two Second Prizes, and two Third Prizes in the Jiangxi Provincial Outstanding Achievement Awards in Social Sciences, as well as two First Prizes in the Jiangxi Provincial Higher Education Teaching Achievement Awards.
