Chai Dong

  Chai Dong, male, Han ethnicity, born in Hejin, Shanxi. He joined the university as a faculty member in November 2022 and currently holds the position of Lecturer. In 2022, he earned his Doctor of Letters (Ph.D.) in Oriental History from the Graduate School of Arts and Letters, Tohoku University, Japan.

  Primary Research Fields and Interests: History of the Wei, Jin, Northern and Southern Dynasties, Sui, and Tang periods, with a particular focus on rituals, titles, political transitions (abdication/revolutions), and the imperial institution during this era.
