Huang Zhifan, male, born in Shicheng, Jiangxi. He is a Second-level Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, and a recipient of the Ministry of Education's Huo Yingdong Young Teacher Award. He earned his Master's degree in History from Nanchang University and his Ph.D. in History from Sun Yat-sen University. His social appointments include serving as a Council Member of the Chinese Society of Ming History, Vice President of the Jiangxi Provincial History Society, and Secretary-General of the Tourism Branch of the Chinese Society for Futures Studies, among others.

  Primary Research Fields and Interests:

His research focuses on the socio-economic history of the Ming and Qing dynasties, with an emphasis on the regional socio-economic history of Jiangxi, folk contractual documents, and Hakka culture. He also engages in cultural tourism development.

He has published over 40 academic papers in journals such as Social Sciences in Chinaand Modern Chinese History Studies, and authored four monographs, including Between "Bandits" and "Commoners": Regional Society in Southern Jiangxi from the 12th to 18th Centuries; Ecology, Ethnic Groups, and Hakka Culture in the Jiangxi-Fujian-Guangdong Border Region During the Ming and Qing Dynasties; Market Studies in Southern Jiangxi During the Qing Dynasty; and Village Contract Documents in Wuyuan County from the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China Period. He has led three National Social Science Fund projects and eight provincial/ministerial-level research projects. His honors include one Ministry of Education Huo Yingdong Young Teacher Award and four Second Prizes of the Jiangxi Province Outstanding Achievement Award in Social Sciences.
