Bian Yuan, female, Han ethnicity, native of Ji'an, Jiangxi. She joined the university in September 2013 and is a member of the Chinese Communist Party. She holds a Ph.D. in Management and currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Archival Science program of the Department of History, School of Humanities, Nanchang University. She is also an Associate Researcher at the Jiangxi Provincial Key Research Base for Regional History and Archival Documents and at the Nanchang University Archives and Planning Center.

  She has led 3 provincial-level research projects, including the Jiangxi Provincial Social Science Planning Project, Jiangxi Provincial University Humanities and Social Sciences Project, and Jiangxi Provincial Social Science Private Sector Project. Research reports she authored have received handwritten feedback and adoption approval from sub-provincial-level leadership. She has participated in multiple national and provincial/university-level projects, such as the National Social Science Fund Major Project and National Archives Administration Science and Technology Projects. She has published over ten papers in journals including Archival Science Research, China Archives, Beijing Archives, and Archives & Construction, among which 3 are classified as second-tier authoritative publications, and 1 has been fully reprinted by Renmin University Copying Materials. Her papers have received the Third Prize in the Annual Academic Paper Competition of the Archives Work Branch of the Chinese Society of Higher Education, the Special Award in the Annual Paper Competition of the Jiangxi Provincial University Archives Work Research Association, and the Third Prize in the 20th Jiangxi Provincial Outstanding Achievement Award in Social Sciences. She has been recognized as an Outstanding Class Advisor at Nanchang University and has guided students in obtaining national-level approval and achieving excellent results in the University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program.
