Liu Jingzhong

   Liu Jingzhong, male, Han ethnicity, native of Wuhu, Anhui. He joined the university in May 2005 and currently holds the position of Researcher. He holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Nanjing Foreign Studies University, a Master's degree and a Ph.D. from the Middle East Institute of Northwest University, and was the first postdoctoral fellow in Islamic Studies in China, affiliated with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He has served as a Research Fellow at Harvard University (focusing on Islam and Judaism) and as a Senior Researcher at Saint Petersburg State University in Russia. He is a council member of the Chinese Association for Religious Studies, the Chinese Association for Asian and African Studies, and the Chinese Association for Middle Eastern Studies, and holds adjunct professor and researcher positions at institutions such as the Center for Judaic and Inter-Religious Studies at Shandong University. He currently serves as a Researcher and Doctoral Supervisor at Nanchang University.

  Primarily focused on Judaism, Islam, and Middle Eastern studies.

  Major Academic Achievements and Awards:

  Authored multiple works, including Tracing the Origins of Islamic Extremist Thought(internal report), Religion and Zionism, Introduction to Jewish Mysticism, A History of World Jewry(chief translator), and Introduction to Judaism(co-authored with Zhou Xiefan). Additional works awaiting publication include Islam Behind History and Reality: Studies in Islamic Religion and Thought(multi-volume monograph) and The Classic of Jewish Mysticism: The Zohar(three-volume translation). He has led several research projects, including National Social Science Fund Key Projects, National Social Science Fund Annual Projects, and Ministry of Education Key Base Major Projects. He is currently overseeing the compilation of the Encyclopedia of Jewish Religion.
