  Liu Youhong, male, Han ethnicity, native of Guang'an, Sichuan. He joined the university in January 2006 and currently holds the position of Professor. He earned his Bachelor's (1993–1997), Master's (1997–2000), and Doctoral (2002–2005) degrees from the School of Philosophy at Wuhan University, receiving a Ph.D. in Philosophy. He was a visiting scholar at Purdue University, USA (September 2015–September 2016). He is currently a faculty member in the Department of Philosophy, School of Humanities, Nanchang University, and serves as a Master’s Supervisor.

  Primary Research Fields and Interests:

  Integrated research on Marxist philosophy and cultural philosophy, specifically including value philosophy, philosophical anthropology, the Sinicization of Marxist philosophy, Cassirer's cultural philosophy, globalization, Mao Zedong's philosophy of education, computer network culture, and ecological philosophy.

  II. Awards

  •The paper "The Dialectical Unity of Instrumental Rationality and Purposeful Rationality: A Philosophical Reflection on the Value Premises of Public Services on Government WeChat," authored and published, received the Third Prize in the 18th Jiangxi Provincial Outstanding Achievement Award in Social Sciences in 2019.

  •In 2018, guided the "Yi Sheng You Ni" project by eight students, including Yang Jimin from the School of Humanities, which won the Bronze Award in the 2018 "Chuang Qingchun" Jiangxi University Student Entrepreneurship Competition (Haohan Cup).

  •Selected as one of Jiangxi Province's Seventh Batch of Young and Middle-aged Key Teachers in 2011.

  •Paper "Value Re-evaluation: From Narrow Value to Systemic Value—Theoretical Strategies for Escaping the Dilemma of Modern Anthropocentrism" won the First Prize in the "60 Years of Marxism in New China Seminar and Essay Competition" hosted by Tsinghua University in 2010.

  •Course "Introduction to Original Works of Marxist Philosophy," taught by the instructor, was selected as an Excellent Demonstration Online Course at Nanchang University in 2010.

  •Course "History of Marxist Philosophy," taught by the instructor, was selected as an Excellent Demonstration Online Course at Nanchang University in 2009.

  •Monograph A Study of Cassirer's Philosophical Anthropologywas awarded the Third Prize in the 2009 Jiangxi Provincial Higher Education Scientific Research Outstanding Achievement Award (Humanities and Social Sciences) in the monograph category.

  •Paper "Manifestations and Countermeasures of Misconceptions in Humanistic Education in Chinese Universities" received the Excellent Paper Award from Road to Successin 2008.

  •As the primary advisor, guided undergraduate students Che Wulin and Zou Lin in their paper "Current Situation and Countermeasures of Rural Public Goods Supply Under Multiple Constraints—Based on a Survey of 70 Natural Villages in Jiangxi Province," which won the Special Prize in Jiangxi Province and the Third Prize nationally in the "Challenge Cup" competition. The advisor received the Third Prize in Provincial Teaching Achievements in 2008.

  •Recognized as an Outstanding Undergraduate Advisor at Nanchang University in 2008.

  •Selected for the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education Higher Education Research Preliminary Expert Database in 2008.

  •As a co-advisor (ranked third), guided undergraduate students including Lu Donghai in their paper "Online Public Opinion and Public Governance Transformation," which won the Special Prize in Jiangxi Province and the Third Prize nationally in the "Challenge Cup" competition. The advising team received the Third Prize in Provincial Teaching Achievements in 2007.
