  Xu Fulai, male, Han ethnicity, native of Yushan, Jiangxi. He joined the university in July 1994 and currently serves as a Professor in the Department of Philosophy, School of Humanities, Nanchang University. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the Department of Philosophy at Nanchang University in 1994, a Master of Arts in Philosophy from the same department in 1998, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Department of Philosophy at Fudan University in 2002. He was a visiting scholar at Arizona State University, USA, from August 2013 to August 2014.

  Primary Research Fields and Interests:

  History of Chinese ethics, history of Chinese philosophy.


  Courses Taught:

  The Analects, Instructions for Practical Living, Selected Readings in Chinese Ethical Classics, History of Chinese Ethics, History of Chinese Philosophy.


  Major Academic Achievements and Awards:

  He has led one National Social Science Fund project, "A Study of Liang Shuming's Thought," and has completed several provincial-level social science fund projects. He has published over 20 academic papers in journals such as History of Chinese Philosophy, Fudan Journal, Journal of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Journal of Anhui University, Jiangxi Social Sciences, and Journal of Nanchang University. He has received the Third Prize in the 13th Jiangxi Provincial Outstanding Achievement Award in Social Sciences and has been awarded the Nanchang University Teaching Quality Excellence Award multiple times.
