Yang Zhucai, male, born in 1966, Han ethnicity, from Gao'an, Jiangxi. He began working at the school in July 1996 and currently holds the position of professor. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy in 1987 and a Master of Arts in Philosophy in 1990 from Jiangxi University, and a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Peking University in 1996. Currently, he is a researcher and director of the Jiangyou Philosophy Research Center at Nanchang University, a professor in the Department of Philosophy at the School of Humanities, Nanchang University, and a part-time researcher at the National Studies Research and Communication Center of Yuelu Academy, Hunan University. He was a visiting scholar at Peking University from 2004 to 2005, an international exchange research scholar with the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies from 2005 to 2006, and a visiting professor at Hanyang University.

  He has published the monograph The Patriarch of Neo-Confucianism: A Study on Zhou Dunyi’s Philosophical Thought, co-authored Research on Jiangyou Thinkers, History of Chinese Confucianism (Song and Yuan Volume), and Research on Jiangxi Confucianism in the Song and Ming Dynasties. He also serves as the editor-in-chief of the journal Studies on Gan Culture. Additionally, he has published over 50 academic papers. His social appointments include serving as a council member of the Chinese Society for the History of Philosophy, a council member of the Chinese Zhu Xi Society, president of the Jiangxi Society for the History of Chinese Philosophy, and vice president of the Jiangxi Society for the Study of Traditional Chinese Culture. He has received one second prize and three third prizes for Outstanding Achievements in Social Sciences in Jiangxi Province.
