Zhou Wupeng, male, Han ethnicity, native of Qichun County, Huanggang City, Hubei Province. He joined the university in October 2020 and currently serves as an Associate Professor and Master’s Supervisor in the Department of Philosophy at Nanchang University. He earned his Bachelor's degree from the Department of Automation at Zhejiang University and completed his combined Master's and Ph.D. in Foreign Philosophy at Zhejiang University, under the supervision of Professor Yang Dachun, a renowned French philosophy scholar and recipient of the Ministry of Education's "Changjiang Scholar" award. He was a visiting scholar in the Department of Philosophy at Columbia University, USA, for one year (collaborating with Professor Taylor Carman, an expert in Merleau-Ponty studies), and a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Philosophy at Sun Yat-sen University (collaborating with Professor Zhu Gang, an expert in French philosophy and a leading talent in philosophy and social sciences).

  Primary Research Fields and Interests:

  Phenomenology, philosophy of mind, philosophy of art, with a focus on philosophical problems and methodologies.

  Courses Taught:

  Regularly offers courses in the philosophy of science and technology, including History of Science and Technologyand Philosophy of Technology, as well as courses in foreign philosophy, such as Introduction to Phenomenology, Guide to Phenomenology of Perception, and Special Topics in French Phenomenology.

  Major Academic Achievements:

  He has led and completed one Postdoctoral Science Foundation General Project, currently leads one National Social Science Fund General Project, one Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences Youth Fund Project, and one Nanchang University Key Teaching Reform Research Project. He has published over ten research papers and translations in prominent domestic and international philosophy and art studies journals, such as Literary and Artistic Studies, Universitas: Monthly Review of Philosophy and Culture(AHCI), Critical Arts(SSCI & AHCI), and Curator: The Museum Journal(AHCI).
