Yu Youhui

  Yu Youhui, male, Han ethnicity, native of Yihuang, Jiangxi. He joined the university in July 2005 and currently serves as a Professor at Nanchang University. He holds a Ph.D. in Foreign Philosophy from Zhejiang University and is a faculty member in the Department of Philosophy, School of Humanities, Nanchang University.

  Primary Research Fields and Interests:

  Greek and Roman philosophy, with recent focus on Greek moral psychology and the theory of the "self" in Greek philosophy. His research on Greek moral psychology primarily explores Greek philosophers' analysis of human behavior through the study of the soul, as well as the similarities and differences between Greek eudaimonistic ethics, virtue ethics, and modern normative ethics. His research on the Greek theory of the "self" aims to reconstruct the unique understanding and construction of the self in Greek philosophy within the context of the development of Western self-theory from ancient to modern times.
